ABOUT US
Part of our South African history and culture is hunting. The objectives of Disable Hunt S.A. is to give individuals aged 10 to 100, with a variety of permanent physical disability impairments including,
- Spinal Cord Injury
- Amputation
- Neuromuscular Diseases
- Blindness
- Stroke
- Other Disabling Conditions
the possibility to play an active role in all hunting, recreational shooting, wildlife and conservation activities. Disable Hunt S.A uses it's combined resources to locate and organize opportunities for people with physical disabilities. Hunts are organized with private land owners and with commercial outfitters.
MISSION
- To set up a databasis of all the people with special needs that want to participate in hunting and all the relevant outdoor activities.
- To identify fascilities that are disabled friendly.
- To assist game farm owners and Outfitters, to make their farms more user friendly to people with disabilities.
- To develop, design and import new aids that will assist the disabled and hunter with special needs.
- Training and assistance to the disabled with regards to hunting and the relevant outdoor activities.
- To negotiate with the different organisations in order to setup rules and regulations so that the disabled will still be able to compete with his/her non-disabled competitor in a fair and competitive way.
- To assist and train disabled children, so that they also can participate and be competitive in the sport.
